Agreement for the use of services
1 Definitions and interpretations of this agreement
1-1 The “Terms”: these are the terms and conditions on which I supply services to you.
1-2 Please read these terms carefully before you use my interpreting and consulting services. These terms will establish how I will provide the services to you
1-3 I work as a regulated freelance interpreter remotely and face to face and provide interpreting consultancy
1-4 “You/Your” refers to the customer making the order
2 Quotations
2-1 When you order a service - interpreting or consultancy-, I will issue a tailored quote that will be binding on written acceptance of the quote by you. Verbal quotations are given for guidance only.
2.2 The price for the service will be set out in a “quote”. Any quote is valid for 30 calendar days from the date the quote was issued.
3 Acceptance of the order
3.1 The acceptance of the order will take place when you accept the quote
3.2 On acceptance of the order, the contract is established between you and S.G Languages Consulting
3.3 It is your responsibility to check the order before accepting, you must ensure that services you wish to purchase from S.G Languages Consulting are accurate.
3.4 If S.G Languages Consulting cannot accept your order, we will inform you and you will not be charged.
3.5 All interpreting jobs will be charged at “time booked” and not “actual time”, for example if the booking is for 3 hours and the booking only lasts 1 hour, the charge will apply for 3 hours.
4 Details of the services
4.1 The service that S.G Languages Consulting supplies will be detailed in your order
4.2 You must inform S.G Languages Consulting of any changes in writing so that S,G Languages Consulting can supply you with a revised quote.
5 Change of services and revised quote
5.1 In case of changes of the services by you, you must contact S.G Languages Consulting in order to get a revised quote.
5.2 You must accept the revised quote in writing. Failure to do so will result in supplying the services set out in the initial quote.
5.2 Acceptance of the revised quote will form contract between you and S.G Languages Consulting
5.3 It is your responsibility to supply S.G Languages Consulting with additional information by you after a change of services.If the information is not supplied by you S.G Languages Consulting may end the contract
6 Payments
6.1 An invoice for payment shall be issued to you upon completion of the work by S.G Languages Consulting and payment in full to S.G Languages Consulting shall be effected no later than fifteen (15) days from the date of invoice, by the method of payment specified.
6.2 You must cover all bank charges where bank charges are incurred
6.3 Unless otherwise stated , payments must be paid in sterling ( GBP)
7 Late payments
7.1 Any payment that is not made before the due date shall bear interest at the rate of three per cent (3%) calculated on a daily basis from the date when such payment fell due until the date of payment.
7.2 S&G Languages Consulting will inform you in writing of the intention to charge interest
7.3 You must pay interest together with any overdue amount
8 Cancellation & Cancellation fees
8.1 Should you wish to cancel an interpreting or a consulting job, it is your responsibility to inform S&G Languages Consulting in writing by email.
8.2 Cancellations made 48 hours or less before the start of the job agreed in the quote, S.G Languages Consulting will charge 100% of the price agreed in the quote.
8.3 If you cancel less than a week but more than 48 hours before the agreed start of the job will incur a 50% charge of the agreed quote.
8.4 Cancellations due to “force majeure” will not incur any charges.In this agreement “ force majeure” shall mean any cause preventing either party from performing any or all of its obligations which arises from strikes, acts of god, pandemy or adverse weather conditions
9 Disputes
9.1 Dispute around the invoices should be made within 14 days
9.2 Disputes that are not notified to S.G Interpreting & Consulting within 14 days shall be deemed waived and you would have accepted the price stated in the invoice
